A Little About Steve Berg

I first rode on the back of my Grandfathers BSA Gold Star in 1959 and like many little boys, I was hooked. My first bike was a Bridgestone 90 and have been meddling with motorcycles ever since.

In 1980 I built and tuned Bill Hoffmeisters main event winning XR750 of the Carroll Resbewer Classic in Elkhorn Wisconsin. Most recently Kenny Thiebaud piloted one of my Triumph's to the Senior class championship in Eddie Mulder's West Coast Vintage Dirt Track Series. My machines won the 2001 and 2003 Del Mar Mile with Paul Herman twisting the throttle. Paul has also won many events in Gene Romero's West Coast Flat Track Series as well as battling to a win in the Open Pro class at the 2003 Las Vegas Half-Mile on my Triumph's.

In addition we have won numerous races and championships over the years in both Modern and Vintage classes. Steve Berg built and tuned Triumph's are always a danger at any race track.

When not building the best motorcycles I know how to, you can often find me working on a sprint car racing team. It's kind of like cross-training, I get fresh ideas and stay sharp building top-notch machinery.
